The idea to construct the artificial lake was fronted in 1967, at a time when it was known as Lake Adair. The lake would then be constructed on top of the Las Vegas Wash, and it as not until 1990 when water began to fill the lake. With a capacity of 338 million cubic feet of water, it is easy to see why the lake is a key landmark – an oasis in the heart of the desert.

Lake Las Vegas is well known in Nevada’s hospitality industry as it is home to three key resorts: The Hilton Lake Las Vegas, the Aston MonteLago Village Resort, as well as the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort. The Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort and Spa gives a whole new meaning to tranquility with its picture-perfect setting and quality amenities.

These include a resort pool with private cabanas, spacious guest rooms, a Mediterranean-themed spa, as well as bars and restaurants. The latter offers the option of enjoying al fresco dining at the Poolside Lagoon Bar and Grill or cocktails at the Firenze Lounge.

On the other hand, The Aston Montelago Village Resort is a slice of Italy in the heart of Nevada’s desert landscape. With its characteristic cobblestone streets, stunning fountains, and splendid views of the lake, this village resort is worth the experience. The gondola rides are a fun-filled way to appreciate the lake’s beauty, with the dock easily accessible from the resort’s stores.

Exploring this region would be incomplete without spending time at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort and Spa. With its fantastic opportunities for rest and relaxation, the resort offers a perfect break from the bustle of the Strip. Activities to enjoy include al fresco dining at Rick’s Café, golfing at the onsite golf course, as well as excellent accommodation options.
