With a size of close to two million square feet of space, this is undoubtedly one of the most popular venues in the city. It is, in fact, the biggest single-level convention center globally, with a capacity of more than 200,000 visitors in some of its events.

The venue’s history can be traced back to the 50s when the city’s leaders figured it would be great to establish a convention facility to improve hotel occupancy during off-peak tourist months. A location off the Las Vegas Strip was selected, and the exhibit hall opened in 1959. After its opening, the center notably hosted key boxing matches, music performances, and even crusades.

The center was pulled down in 1990 to allow for expansion to what is today known as the Las Vegas Convention Center. LCVV has since undergone several renovations, making it an incredible venue for exhibitors. Its immense space, coupled with its world-class facilities, makes it a preferred destination for events that have high human traffic.

In addition to the convention and exhibition spaces, LCVV also boasts 144 meeting rooms – with a capacity that ranges between 20 and 2,500 people. The center also houses a grand lobby area that’s complete with a registration area. Both areas are connected to the exhibit halls, making it easy to set-up and dismantle multiple exhibition events.

Additional on-site amenities include a restaurant, business services, and ample parking space with the option of truck parking. LCVV is also an accessible facility that makes it easy to navigate for visitors with mobility challenges. These include accessible parking lots, automated doors, as well as wheelchair rental during the shows.

Some of the most popular events to have been held at the convention center include the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the World of Concrete, as well as COMDEX.

The Las Vegas Convention Center is located just four miles from the airport and close to the city’s best hotels for a seamless experience.
