The pavilion is a two-level structure that is home to the UNLV Lady Rebels (a women’s basketball team), in addition to the yearly NBA Summer League.

In addition to the sports programs, the multi-purpose venue also hosts trade shows, concerts, and family shows. In the past, the arena has most notably been a venue for the Democratic Presidential Debate held during the 2008 Presidential Election.

The venue’s two-level structure was designed to include practice courts for both volleyball and basketball, as well as player lounges. In addition to these facilities, the ground floor also features lockers for both men and women.

On the other hand, the second level is a multi-purpose venue with a seating capacity of 2,500 to 3,100 people for sporting events. Some of the amenities available include ADA services to ensure that every guest enjoys the event in a safe and convenient environment.

The Cox Pavilion’s proximity to the Thomas and Mack Center makes it easy to get around and enjoy the different events. Guests get to enjoy food and snacks from the Thomas and Mack Center’s food department.

From pizza to garlic fries, nachos, sausages, and even healthy options, the food department is worth checking out. There is also a full bar on-site – one that is stocked with specialty drinks and craft beers. During the events, the food department can create portable spots for the sale of food and beverages.

It is important to note that Cox Pavilion employs a bag and camera policy. Backpacks, large purses, and coolers are prohibited from the venue. Guests will be allowed to carry cameras for personal use, but tripods and selfie sticks are not allowed.
