Its white sandy beaches, coupled with splendid views of the lake, provide a tranquil getaway just a few minutes away from the popular London Bridge in Lake Havasu City. For beach lovers, there is no better place to enjoy sand and sun than at this beach oasis. Some of the most popular water activities on the lake include boating, fishing, and swimming.

Watercraft users get to use any of the five boat ramps across the park and enjoy boating on the lake’s calm waters. This adventure also provides the perfect opportunity to go fishing. Some of the lake’s most popular fish species include sunfish, striped bass, smallmouth bass, as well as different catfish species. Anglers will need a valid fishing license, which is available at local dealers near the lake.

The park has a designated swimming area close to the beach. Visitors are only allowed to swim close to the shoreline and away from boat ramps and docking areas. It is also important to note that the River’s temperatures may change from moderate to near-freezing, and visitors are advised to exercise caution.

Away from the waters, adventure lies along the park’s numerous trails. The Mohave Sunset Trail is a 1.75-mile-long trail that makes its way through the desert and along the shore. While cycling is not permitted on this trail, it is rather popular with hikers looking for a family-friendly option.

A tour of the Lake Havasu State Park would be incomplete without exploring the Arroyo-Camino Interpretive Garden. This garden gives visitors a glimpse into the park’s biodiversity. From lizards to birds and desert cottontails, this interpretive area is a great place to learn more about the park.

The state park is open to campers, with two options for the campsites: standard and beachfront sites. Amenities available at the camping grounds include showers and restroom, a dump station, picnic tables, and a fire ring.
