The mansion’s history can be traced back to 1962 when the original properties were purchased by popular entertainer, Wladziu Valentino Liberace. In the years that followed, Liberace bought additional properties and then commenced a renovation project that involved joining the two separate houses. He then invested in creating a dazzling compound for the mansion to match the opulence of the flamboyant owner. The result is the iconic Liberace Mansion you see today.

Upon his death, the properties were sold several times before finally landing into the hands of Martyn Ravenhill. Mr. Ravenhill knew Liberace beforehand, and the state of despair in which the mansion was in after his death compelled Ravenhill to purchase the grand property. As would be expected, the mansion had to undergo many repairs to restore its former glory. After many restoration procedures later, the charming mansion is the first historic landmark in Clark County.

The Liberace Mansion offers guided tours of the property. These tours not only give great insight into the mansion’s captivating history, but it also provides a glimpse into the fascinating life and times of Liberace. What’s more, there is also the option of a private guided tour. This is the perfect way to experience the glitz and glamour associated with the home as you tour with its current owner, Martyn Ravenhill.

Guided tours start at $300 for up to four people, while private guided tours with Martyn cost $672 for four people. Since this is a private home, it is only opened for tours with a prior booking. The tours last approximately 60 minutes and are an informative session on the history of the mansion.

Once the tour is complete, visitors are allowed to stay for another half an hour to take photos and even purchase souvenirs at the gift shop.

The Liberace Mansion is a must-visit for those keen on exploring the heritage of the county’s first historical landmark.
