Pioneer Saloon, History, Hours, Parties & Events, Goodsprings Nevada

At the heart of this close-knit community is this charming bar where you get to enjoy a beer, cocktail or soda for the teetotaler. There is also a diverse and vast food menu that offers all-day breakfast, gourmet burgers, sandwiches, classic snacks, tasty steaks, and decadent desserts.

The moment you get inside the saloon, it is easy to see why there is so much hype around it. You will notice the original and well-preserved poker tables, a quirky yet stylish leg lamp, as well as a vintage stove. It is a fascinating part of the visit because many people will admit to never having seeing such unique entities.

A casual look at the walls in the billiards room reveals a lot of the saloon’s history. The wall is full of newspaper cuttings that celebrate the saloon’s heritage, and affirm its place as one of Nevada’s most exciting attractions. A few of the cuttings detail the experience of Clark Gable whose wife, Carole Lombard, who perished in an air crash and he made his way to the bar awaiting news of her fate.

The atmosphere at the Pioneer Saloon in Goodsprings is often filled with the conversation and laughter of the locals as they mingle with the visitors and share the stories of old from the town. It is this aura that many travelers will come all the way to Goodsprings for.

The saloon is open from 9am every day and entry is free. A reservation isn’t required, so simply show up with an adventurous spirit and enjoy all that the Pioneer Saloon has to offer. Make your way to the saloon using I-15 south to Jean and then head west on Route 161.
